What an awesome day! Our garden blitz was a huge success. The weather looked after us, the company was great, and we got heaps achieved.
A massive shout out to our awesome group of volunteers (so nice to see some new community faces), a big thanks to the amazing support from the Ballarat Permaculture Guild, and it was brilliant to see the energy and enthusiasm of our excellent team of helpers from Haddon Primary School.
I’d like to make special mention of Barry Gibson as the driving force behind the Wicking Beds, and to Ann Goeman for ideas and advice around plants and the general garden plan.
I’d also like to thank Aberdeen (The Integra Group) for helping us out with the groundwork – another demonstration of their commitment to our community.
This is the first big step in our Community Garden Project – can’t wait to see how this all evolves.
