Week 1 – Get a feel for the materials with playful mark making with acrylic pens and watercolour

Week 2 – We’ll explore spring flowers using simple techniques and pens and watercolour.

Week 3 – Bird fun using collage and acrylic pens

Week 4 – A new look at landscapes using collage, watercolour and pen.

Engaging in art and creative activities is a powerful practice for cultivating mindfulness. As you immerse yourself in the process of creation—whether painting, drawing, or crafting—you allow your mind to focus entirely on the present moment. The act of blending colours, shaping forms, or layering textures encourages a meditative state, gently guiding you away from the distractions of daily life. This focused attention fosters a sense of calm, enabling you to connect with your inner self and find relief from stress and anxiety.

Creativity also nurtures mindfulness by inviting self-expression without judgment or pressure. In creating art, you embrace the freedom to explore your emotions, letting your thoughts flow onto paper or canvas. This process not only helps in releasing mental clutter but also cultivates awareness and gratitude for the beauty of the moment. Participants often describe art sessions as transformative, finding joy and clarity in the act of creation. Whether you’re sketching a bird, painting spring blossoms, or piecing together a collage, art can be a rejuvenating journey toward a more mindful and peaceful state.

Tuesday nights for 4 weeks starting 5 August.  $125 with all materials included.  Register here online or call on 5342 7050.
