I have 12 copies of The Thursday Murder Club sitting on my desk (all courtesy of the excellent people who run our mobile library).
It’s a ripper of a book. It is an easy read (yes, I have read it), and it has won plenty of awards.
All you need to do to join in … drop in to The Haddon CLC and borrow a copy of the book, then read it over the next few weeks, then come back to return the book and have a coffee and chat about what you liked (or didn’t like) with everyone else who read it.
It’s a great excuse to get back into reading, try out a new book, or even if you’ve read the book before … why not connect with other readers and be a founding member of The Woady Book Club? No commitments or lock-in’s, this is just about trying to set-up a friendly group for people who like books.
I can do the heavy lifting and organise the books from the library for the group every couple of months – and I can offer a great place to catch up (and there’s spaces in Smythesdale and Linton we can use too if we want to swap locations around).
If you’re keen, reach out to find out more, or to reserve your copy.
